Our Organization and Mission: The Florida Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) is the state�s lead agency for environmental management and stewardship - protecting our air, water and land. The Work You Will Do: � This position is a core member of the Office of Resilience and Coastal Protection�s (RCP) Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserves (BBAP) and will make technical, planning, procedural and budget decision in consultation with the Southeast Regional Administrator. � The primary purpose of this position is to be is the daily administration, management and operation of the Biscayne Bay Aquatic Preserves (BBAP) including almost 70,000 submerged and island acres. This position includes office and field oversight duties, coordinating and performing field management activities and all other program activities related to resource protection and management of BBAP, the ORCP regional office and facility. This includes the coordination and management of volunteer, OPS and FTE personnel. � The position directly supervises one Career Service and three OPS positions. � This position is exempt from overtime.
