Description:Shark Fishery ObserversResponsibilities: The successful candidates will be collecting catch, effort and environmental data for the National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS) aboard offshore commercial fishing vessels for the Shark Observer Programs out of the Panama City, Florida Laboratory. Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor's degree in biology or related science OR the completion of 3 years of study towards a degree in Biology or related science AND 2 years experience identifying marine fauna of the Southeastern United States aboard commercial fishing vessels and 2 years experience operating sampling gear. Candidates must be a natural U.S. Citizen or a non-U.S. Citizen with at least 5 years of continuous residency in the U.S. Salary: Competitive salary.
