Description:IAP World Services705 Convent Avenue Pascagoula, MS 39567 Responsibilities: IAP World Services has an excellent opportunity for an Observer Field Coordinator to aid in data collections, coding, entering, and analyzing of data for the Galveston, TX Observer Program at the Galveston, TX Laboratory. Duties include assisting senior scientists in the logistics of observer coverage, observer debriefing, and safety. The successful candidate will interact with the commercial fishing industry while performing job duties. Qualifications: Minimum of a bachelor's degree in biology or related science OR the completion of 3 years of study towards a degree in Biology or related science AND 2 years experience identifying marine fauna of the Southeastern United States and 2 years experience operating biological sampling aboard commercial fishing vessels. Observer program experience is preferred.
