Description:MARINE RESOURCES PROGRAM MANAGEROregon Department of Fish and Wildlife Newport OR Make a difference in Oregon’s marine fisheries resources! Use your expertise in natural resources management to lead and manage marine management issues, programs and department policies. Establish and maintain liaison with ocean users, state legislators and local officials who may be affected by department policies and actions involving marine fish, shellfish and pinniped resources. Requires three years of management experience in a natural resources program of a public or private organization that included responsibility for development of program rules and policies, development of long- and short-range goals and plans, program evaluation, and budget preparation. Graduate level course work (48 quarter or 32 semester hours) in management may be substituted for one year of the required experience. Preference may be given to those applicants with program management experience in a marine resources or marine fisheries-related field and/or an advanced degree (M.S., PhD.).
